Raiden's lover. He called her Rose.

Formerly an American military data analyst, she was moved to combat support to replace the previous operator for FOXHOUND after they were allegedly in an accident.

The Colonel (AI) fabricated by Arsenal Gear's AI suggested to Raiden while on his mission at the Big Shell that the key to maintaining morale was to stimulate the emotions. Consequently, Rosemary was called into combat.

Raiden first met Rosemary in front of Federal Hall. When asked by a Japanese tourist which building King Kong scaled, Raiden answered that it was the Empire State Building, while Rosemary maintained it was the Chrysler Building. One week after the argument that ensued, the two met once more at the FOXHOUND base, and decided to watch King Kong together.

However, their meeting at Federal Hall was no coincidence. Rose's approach was merely part of her orders form the Patriots.

Still, her love for Raiden ceased to be an act at some point, and became real. During the chaos at the Big Shell, she confessed to Raiden that she was carrying his child.

After Raiden injected Arsenal Gear's neuro-AI, GW, with a worm cluster, however, Rosemary's communiqués devolve into gibberish. Raiden then discovered that, in addition to the real Rosemary, GW had created a false Rose within his mind, using nanomachines inside his brain.

As messages from the real and impostor Rose mingled, Raiden was plunged deeper and deeper into confusion.

After defeated Solidus Snake, Raiden met the real Rosemary once more.

They lived together briefly thereafter, but Raiden's painful childhood as a soldier continued to haunt him. While Raiden was busy working towards Sunny's liberation, Rosemary miscarried her child -- an event which spurred her to begin studying psychiatry. Raiden subsequently disappeared, and Rosemary joined the CSP as a psychiatric counselor. There, she met Roy Campbell, who helped her emotionally recover. The two married, and had a child.

By Campbell's request, she offers support to Snake via Codec on his mission to assassinate Liquid.

The child she bore with Campbell, however, was actually Raiden's. Campbell, seeking to shield Rosemary and her child from potential danger born from Raiden's stance against the Patriots, covered up the truth about the child's parentage.

Campbell and Rosemary had no means of telling the incommunicado Raiden the truth, so he was left to hear the cover story through a shared acquaintance from his US Army days.
