Dana Lyn Baron, the voice actress hired to portray Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, recently posted a quote on her personal web site stating that she had reprised her role as the popular U.S. Special Forces agent in September 2009. The subsequent quote was later removed:

In September — right before I left for Paris & the South of France — I reprised my role as Sonya Blade for Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s next installment of the MORTAL KOMBAT videogame.


Similarly voice actress Brenda Barrie, who lent her talents in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe as a motion capture artist for both Wonder Woman and Catwoman, recently updated her personal resume to include her apparent current role as a motion capture artist for Kitana. Interestingly, Barrie also lists Christmas Day 2010 as the release date for Mortal Kombat 9.

While these two seemingly unrelated events can only be seen as conjecture, they do provide the strongest hints as to what the future holds. These speculations come on the back of some recent posts made by Ed Boon on his Twitter page, which hint at Sub-Zero also making the cut.
