Good News!!! I found out and confirmed that the Jasper motherboard has a manufacturing date after August 20th. If you had an xbox before you'll hear the difference from the dvd drive its much quieter. And most important of all the power brick is 150W!!!! Got mine yesterday as I waited a few days after the low price deal and one of my friends who works at EB Games got me my xbox from the lastest batch of inventory that they recieved. Its good to have friends in such places. Unfortunately, in the long run PS3 will prevail as the games are so huge!

Mine says manufacture date Aug 25 and yup I agree its a jasper alright however the powerbrick i have is 145W not 150W does a 5w make a huge difference??? Anyways people I have a great feeling about this xbox compared tot he other 3 i've had in the past much quieter now and it feels cooler even after 6 hours straight playing Madden 09!!! PS3 may have the long run edge but hey we are here and now and when 2morrow comes it comes and we'll all shift to ps3's when they are cheaper but now xbox rules!!! This is by no means a foolproof option but it could be worthy of consideration when making a purchase.
Hopefully this will give people an idea of what has happened and is going to happen with the Xbox 360 and maybe people can refer to this thread whenever anyone asks what the difference is with a Jasper and a Falcon etc without having to explain several times
